These days, making a film and completing them is nothing when compared to releasing a movie. So much exertion and stress is getting involved over release process of a movie. In the recent times, the release process of many movies has been getting postponed due to the ongoing FEFSI protest. Now it looks like, three major releases of this season might get postponed in regards to the same reason.
Sivakarthikeyan starrer Velaikkaran was supposed to hit screens on August 25 for the festive occasion of Vinayaga Chathurthi, but was postponed due to some reasons. Apparently, while the preparations were happening to release the film on September 29, it looks like the possibility is pretty less. There are few more days for the shoot to wrap up followed by post-production works, which makes it tough to complete all in 20 days.
It was mentioned that Vijay Sethupathi’s Karuppan too is getting released for the same festive occasion of Dussera. But then, due to same reasons of FEFSI strike, it is relatively getting postponed with the works.
The biggest speculation lies with Vijay starrer Mersal, which is confirmed for Diwali, which is nearly a month from now for release. There are lots of work involved in post-production and even a miss of 2-3 days will relatively have its impact on theatrical release.
