Academy award winner AR Rahman has many songs for us to listen and cherish them. He has lined up huge projects like 2.0, Maniratnam’s multi-starrer film, 99 songs, Sangamithra and many more in his hands. Meanwhile, he is so much excited about his recent concert film ‘One Heart’ that has received positive reviews. The funds raised through the film will be used as pension for underprivileged music directors with cancer, sickness and poverty.
When asked about the recent trend of releasing single tracks, AR Rahman believes that it is really helpful and productive. He adds that it’s a digital era and releasing a complete album might leave listeners with selected options. But when released as single tracks, it has its own time to brew up and gain everyone’s interest. The ‘Mersal’ music director adds that his ‘Elay Keechan’ from Kadal was his weakest song. But when released as a single track by Maniratnam, it gained immense response.
