Nia DaCosta, an accomplished American filmmaker, earned acclaim for her work. She penned and directed the crime thriller "Little Woods," securing the prestigious Nora Ephron Prize at the Tribeca Film Festival. DaCosta also helmed the horror film "Candyman" and the superhero film "The Marvels." Presently, she is actively involved in the production of an adaptation of "Hedda Gabler."
