Mumtaj is an Indian film actress, who concentrates in Tamil film industry .She is noted for her performances in glamour roles and was very active in the period between 2000 and 2007.Mumtaj was born on 5 July 1980 in Mumbai Maharashtra India.Her birth name was Nagma Khan.Initially she had a screen name of Monisha and later changed it to Mumtaj.She completed her schooling at Mt.Marys convent.Though her mother tongue is Urudu,she knows to speak many languages like Tamil,English,Punjabi,Urudu,Hindi.She entered film industry through the Tamil film Monisha En Monalisa.She worked as a Judge in the first season of thevreality dance competitiin Boys Vs Girls that was hosted in Star Vijay.She was noted for her performance in the films Kushi,Rajathi Raja and Budget Padmanabhan.She also worked as a Judge in the season 6 Maanada Mayilada hosted in Kalaignar TV.
