Mini Bio: C. S. Amudhan is an Indian film Director.

C. S. Amudhan, born on July 19, 1977, is a prominent filmmaker and lyricist hailing from the Tamil film industry.

In his career, Amudhan initially entered the film scene as a lyricist, contributing the song "Maddy Maddy" to the 2001 film "Minnale." However, he soon made his directorial debut with "Thamizh Padam," which marked the first full-length spoof film in Tamil cinema, with Shiva taking on the lead role. This groundbreaking film, distributed by Dayanidhi Azhagiri's Cloud Nine Movies, premiered on January 29, 2010, receiving widespread critical acclaim and achieving considerable commercial success, eventually earning it cult status.

In late 2010, Amudhan embarked on a project titled "Nakka Mukka," starring Vijay Antony as the lead, promising a unique cinematic experience in a "new genre." Unfortunately, this film did not progress as expected.

Additionally, in October 2011, rumors circulated about Amudhan working on a film titled "Thalavali," featuring lookalikes of popular actors Vijay and Ajith Kumar in the lead roles. However, the director later refuted these claims.

Amudhan went on to announce his second film, "Rendavathu Padam," another full-length comedic offering, with Vimal, Remya Nambeesan, Aravind Akash, and Richard in pivotal roles. Despite production being completed in 2014, the film has remained unreleased.

Furthermore, the sequel to his debut, "Thamizh Padam 2," hit theaters in 2018, further solidifying his reputation as a filmmaker in the industry.
