Unique story but poor implementation has marred the entertainment value of the movie

Wah Taj is a quirky comedy film which somehow loses its edge and direction as it turns out to be a serious courtroom affair. The director has failed to exploit the kind of scope the film delivers to him and the makers and thus has ended up falling flat in terms of giving something interesting and unique film to the audience.
Wah Taj is an amateur attempt at satire

In Wah Taj, the press is the most ridiculous. Assembled to cover a breaking story, they write in notepads while people argue, they posture with microphones even without cameras on them, and they sing bhajans siding with the protagonist. This review would have looked a lot different if they’d written it. How I wish they’d have watched it instead.
Simple, yet compelling

It might be felt that the director has restrained from delving deeper into the farmer issue gripping the country, and a little wider coverage on the issue could have provided the film with more validity, but the sincere effort cannot be brushed away and must be recognised. Wah Taj is a clean and simple story with a message, definitely worth a watch.
A well-intentioned story lost in stereotypes

As for performances, Shreyas and Manjari are good in parts, but the melodrama keeps them from being convincing. The other actors are mostly overacting, completely killing the film. At scripting stage, Wah Taj could have been a good watch, but what we see onscreen is totally avoidable.
